The days of using an out of the catalog cam are long gone. There are too many options, such as cylinder heads and stroker kits, to cover with off the shelf cams. Although you could physically install the same cam in anything from a 221ci small block to a 427ci + stroker, the performance outcome would be a shot in the dark! Why would the same cam work well for all those engines? IT WON’T!! In some cases using the wrong camshaft can cost you 50 to 100+ horsepower! A custom cam only costs about $30 more than an equivalent quality catalog cam and is designed exclusively for your combination! We have custom cams for most engines!
